An original crochet lace wedding dress for an intimate Scottish elopement.

This is a very special wedding for me to blog as not only is Nic my BFF but she is also our very last vintage bride.

When she called to say she was secretly eloping in a month and wanted my help finding a dress I couldn't have been happier.  Not only did it mean I was in on the secret, but it also meant I had the opportunity to help make her feel amazing on one of the most special days of her life.

I knew we would have to go vintage due to the time restraints, but as a total badass fashion babe and with her background as a knitwear tech,  the original 60s hand crocheted dress she chose couldn't have been more perfect for her.  It's geometric design gives it such a modern vibe, and for a February wedding in Scotland a bit of warmth too.

With just their gorgeous boy and 2 best friends as witnesses, Nic and Chris had their ceremony at 23 Montrose Street (part of Glasgow city Chambers) with a slap up meal and drinks afterwards at the famous Ubiquitous Chip restaurant in the West End. I love that even though they were having a small wedding they still marked the day by hiring a photographer and making it special. (Lisa Devine has pulled a blinder with the pics too.)

After all, your pictures are the one thing you have to look back on and remember the day with, so even if you only book a photographer for a few hours - it's totally worth it!

As a constant fan and supporter of Archive 12, it's lovely that Nic has gone from being part of my group of friends who helped me come up with the name Archive 12 (when I was pregnant the last time and planning my escape route from the film industry!) to being our very last original vintage bride. This year we decided to phase out the vintage in favour of our more popular designer collections, and I'm so proud that she wanted to wear an Archive 12 dress for her wedding day.

I think she has styled it perfectly with blush pink velvet shoes, fitted jacket and circle ear-rings.

Congrats to you and Chris - wishing you a lifetime of happiness!! Love you xx
