"I bought a 1950s dress, which I was a bit uncertain about at the time because I'd never pictured a dress that wasn't floor length, and because it didn't zip up at the back! But I ended up loving it - we took it to Christine and she worked some magic with the back - and in the end the fact that it wasn't floor length was perfect for me because it was so unfussy and chill. I was even able to run into the sea with my uni friends without getting it wet! It was pretty windy on the beach so I threw on my Mum's old denim jacket which made it even more relaxed. We had the happiest day :) I also wanted to say thank you for having a shop where brides like me feel comfortable, and know that we can find something that will reflect our style and make us feel like ourselves on our wedding day!"
Jill wears the Fin dress by Daughters of Simone and bespoke flower crown and veil by Archive 12
"I cannot praise Claire and Archive 12 high enough, I had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. I had been to a huge number of traditional wedding shops and tried on hundreds of dresses but could nothing felt right, nothing felt like me. As soon as I walked in to the incredible Archive 12 studio I knew I would find my dress and I did!! I was shopping by myself and Claire made me feel special and totally relaxed. As soon as I put ‘Fin' on I knew it was my dress, it was exactly what I had been looking for and was so original and different to anything else I had seen and everyone who has seen it has just been blown away by it. Claire was also able to make me a bespoke veil and flower crown to perfectly match my colours and flowers and these are something I will treasure."

"My dress was the most delicate Edwardian lace handmade by someone else who was in love and excited about getting married. I loved that the dress had a history to it.
I am so glad that I found Archive 12, Claire not only was wonderfully welcoming, putting me at ease immediately, but she was a wealth of ideas and information which helped me in the rest of the wedding planning. The trip to archive 12 is exactly what I wanted in wedding dress shopping."

"I knew that I wanted a vintage wedding dress, the problem was that I didn't know where to find one! A chance google search luckily brought me to Archive 12, a treasure-trove of gorgeous gowns. This was the last dress of the day that I tried on, and I immediately knew it was the one. It was beautiful, classic and understated - perfect for our small elopement in Edinburgh. "Dealing with Claire was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! I loved that my dress was ethically sound, totally unique (specially after my best friend added a few custom touches!), and had a story all of its own. "I'll never forget my visit to Archive 12, where I found my vintage wedding dress. The minute we entered the room I was excited. Claire has such a good eye and made the whole experience very relaxed and memorable. In the end I chose a 1960's column dress with a detachable train along with a headpiece which I also picked from the Archive collection. I'd recommend this boutique to any bride looking for something a little bit different and unique. A true gem! "
“I went dress shopping the month before the wedding. I knew I wanted a knee length dress and sleeves. Originally, I was looking for a blue lace dress, which I was going to have made but I wasn’t organised in time. The dress I bought was comfortable to wear all day, and spun out when I twirled. I loved the original lace. I would highly recommend the shop, Claire gave us lots of time; it was a lovely setting and a funky space.”
Anna wears a 1960s short lace button front vintage dress
"Thank you again for helping me find my gorgeous wedding dress. It was quite scary buying it such a long time before the wedding (nearly 2 years!!) but I knew if I didn’t snap it up someone else would. I’d had no idea what might suit someone who was 48 and 5ft1 but this was it! It was Jackie O meets Breakfast at Tiffanys. I could dance all night in it – and I did! And I’m definitely going to wear it again!"
Candice wears a 1970s tiered lace dress
"Archive 12 was the third bridal shop I visited; I went with my bridesmaid, future mother-in-law and my mum because we thought it would be fun , I never imagined I would find my perfect dress! It fitted me like a glove, I often joke that I wore it in a past life. Knowing that some else wore your dress on their day is like having twice the happiness and excitement."
Sharon wears a 1950's full lace dress with train and satin sash.
"The ambience of the Archive 12 Boutique was classy and welcoming, and I felt like I could enjoy looking at every dress.
When Robert saw me walk towards him up the aisle, his eyes just lit up and he whispered, 'You look beautiful in that dress!'
More importantly, I loved wearing it. I FELT like Grace Kelly! It was light and comfortable, and we had so much fun playing with the unusual split train during the photographs.
I would definitely recommend Archive 12 to anyone looking for something that little bit different, special, and with a sense of history. For me, it made a really special day into a dream wedding!"
